The Coca-Cola Company is the largest manufacturer, distributor and marketer of nonalcoholic beverage concentrates and syrups in the world. Coca-Cola's headquarters are in Atlanta, Georgia, in the United States of America. It is best known for its flagship product, Coca-Cola, and is one of the largest corporations in the United States. The company's stock is listed on the NYSE and is part of DJIA and S&P 500.
E. Neville Isdell the CEO of the company leads The Coca-Cola Company into the new century with a firm commitment to the values and spirit of the world's greatest brand. He was named chairman and chief executive officer in June 2004 and is the 12th chairman of the Board in the history of the Company.
Coca-Cola was invented by pharmacist John Stith Pemberton in 1884. According to the 2006 Annual Report, the company sells beverage products in more than 200 countries. In general the Coca-Cola Company (TCCC) only produces syrup concentrate which is then sold to various bottlers throughout the world who hold a Coca-Cola franchise. The Coca-Cola Company offers nearly 400 brands in over 200 countries, besides its namesake Coca-Cola beverage.
Brand harmonization is the case of coca-cola which purchased India's Thums up cola brand in 1993 in order to relace it with coca cola brand by making use of existing bottle plants and distribution networks
In the 1980's Pepsi has dented the Coke identity with its "The choice of a New Generation.
The "Make Every Drop Count" campaign, launched in North America, was designed to help increase awareness of the benefits of the Company's broad beverage portfolio and its commitment to consumers.
